A teenager from Nottingham hit his “best friend” so hard it left an imprint of a shotgun from the ring he was wearing on his face. Nottingham Crown Court heard how Lee Chapman had recently been released from his last prison sentence when he struck the victim with such force he fractured his eye socket, jaw and cheekbone.

The 19-year-old, of Arboretum, then stayed at the man's house where the attack happened for half an hour “laughing and finding the whole thing hysterical,” according to the victim's girlfriend who witnessed it.
