WREX — Before week three kicked off on Friday night for the Belvidere Bucs, they were paid a visit at their team dinner by the Chicago Bears.

Director of football development for the Chicago Bears, Gustavo Silva, came to surprise Juan Cervantes of the Belvidere Football Team with the Latino Heritage Youth Leader Award.

The award recognizes a football player and a girls flag football player that are excelling in the classroom, on the field and in the community.

Cervantes was also given two tickets to the Bears/Cowboys game where he will also be an honorary captain, be recognized at halftime and will participate in interviews with media, both before the game and also during halftime of the game as part of the Chicago Bears Latino Heritage Game.
