West Texas A&M's University Police Department is warning the community about a string of thefts of electric scooters happening on the campus in Canyon.

"We have received multiple reports of electric scooter thefts occurring across campus over the past couple weeks, with incidents continuing as yesterday afternoon. These thefts have primarily targeted scooters left unattended or unsecured in bike racks, residence hall areas, and near academic buildings," the Timely Warning Notification from police states. "We are actively investigating these incidents and have increased security patrols in high-risk areas. If your scooter has been stolen, please report it to UPD as soon as possible to assist in our efforts to address this issue."
