CHINA GROVE — A 9/11 remembrance will be held at the Price of Freedom Museum, 2420 Weaver Road, China Grove to honor First Responder heroes.
The special event will be held Saturday at the museum, which will open at 9 a.m. and close at 3 p.m. An opening ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. with the national anthem provided by Jeff and Madison McCorkle and a flag-raising ceremony.
Bobby Harrison, president of the Price of Freedom board of directors, said that Salisbury Fire Chief Robert Parnell would be bringing a piece of 9/11 steel, which will be on display for attendees to see during the day.
As part of their renovation, the museum had multiple panels
