Steven King is the new senior coach of Melbourne.

The Demons confirmed on Friday that King had been appointed the club’s coach for the 2026 season.

King is an assistant coach at Geelong and has also served stints at St Kilda, Western Bulldogs and Gold Coast.

The 46-year old played 240 AFL games and was a member of the Cats 2007 premiership side.
