Greater Manchester is braced for a wet weekend as Storm Amy arrives.
A sudden thunderstorm led to huge downpours on Thursday afternoon (September 11), with some flash flooding affecting the region's roads.
The Met Office says the next few days are likely to be similarly unsettled, with prolonged showery spells and bursts of heavy rain.
A weather warning for strong wind is also in force in parts of the North West for Sunday night and much of Monday - and while Greater Manchester escapes the warning, some gusty conditions are expected.
