The U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, was placed on a lockdown Thursday following threats, according to a statement.

Naval Support Activity Annapolis, around 5:45 p.m., posted on Facebook about the incident .

“Naval Support Activity Annapolis, in coordination with local law enforcement, is currently responding to reports of threats made to the Naval Academy. The base is on lockdown out of an abundance of caution. This is a developing situation and we will provide updates as they become available.”

Video taken by WBAL showed people running into a building with their hands raised in the air.

Further details about the incident were not immediately available.
