Bridges over Meridan Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard along one of Oklahoma City’s busiest stretches of Interstate 40 are scheduled for replacement as transportation engineers address ongoing congestion and safety issues.

The corridor is already beyond capacity, and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation expects traffic volume to continue to grow in coming years. The corridor, in addition to being surrounded by a dense mix of hotels, entertainment, retail and industry, is also just east of the I-40 junction with Interstate 44.
