NEW YORK (WABC) -- President Donald Trump spent the night in Trump Tower, a rarity in recent years, and will travel to do a TV news interview in Midtown Friday morning as he starts his day in New York City.
The NYPD is freezing the route from Trump Tower to the News Corp. building at 7 a.m., snarling Midtown traffic on Fifth and Sixth avenues, between West 57th and West 42nd streets. Motorists can expect extensive traffic until President Trump returns to Trump Tower after his appearance.
The president will then spend the rest of the day in Trump Tower before departing after 9:30 p.m. to Trump National Golf Club Bedminster, where he will spend the weekend. He plans to return to Washington on Sunday afternoon.
