The Abilene Cowgirls hosted the Lady Wamego Red Raiders for a NCKL duel on Tuesday evening and earned a split finishing 1-1.

The Cowgirls dropped the first match of the evening as they fell in straight sets 19-25 and 18-25. Consistent play on the court seemingly put Abilene in a deficit that they were unable to overcome.

Leading the team in stats during the first match were Rylee Miller with 16 assists, Annie Waite with six kills, and Makenna Stover with five kills.

The Cowgirls then were able to regroup in the second match with a pair of convincing 25-17 and 25-20 wins.
