Marcel Siem has made it crystal he did not cheat at the BMW PGA Championship after being disqualified at Wentworth. ‌

The German took to his social media to give a detailed explanation after he was ruled out of the Rolex Series event. ‌

Siem’s issue came at the conclusion of his opening round when he smacked an off-line tee-shot at the par -five 18th hole. ‌

The colourful star subsequently played a provisional ball thinking his first wayward effort had sailed out of bounds.

Siem’s first ball had, in fact, landed in a hazard and was found by a spectator, but he was blissfully unaware and he continued to incorrectly play his second ball.
