Fall is back. Football is back. Soon enough, the cooler temperatures will return, making for the ideal time to attend an outdoor event like Evans Heritage Day or a few car shows in the area.

If you’re not quite ready for outdoor fall fun, there are plenty of indoor events in the Best of the Week.

Evans Heritage Day is from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Evans City Park and Evans Riverside Park. The morning session is from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at City Park, 3929 Golden St., and features a free pancake breakfast, a parade, a 5K run, food trucks and a vendor fair. The evening festivities are from 5-8:30 p.m. at Riverside Park, 4000 Riverside Parkway, and feature a beer and spirit garden, live entertainment and a fireworks show to conclude the night.
