There are 36 holes in the books at the 2025 Procore Championship, which is serving as the final tune-up for Team USA ahead of the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black in two weeks.

It was a good day for those players, too.

Ben Griffin is the leader by three shots after turning in a bogey-free 6-under 66 in Friday's second round to follow up his blistering 64 in the first round. He might be making his Ryder Cup debut in less than 14 days, but he's also trying to cap off 2025 with his third PGA Tour victory of the season.

"I wouldn't even say my mindset's been Ryder Cup," Griffin said after his round Friday. "I've been pretty focused on this golf tournament. Without a doubt, off the golf course, hanging out with the guys and stuff there's been some Ryder Cup presence, but once I get on the first tee I'm thinking about trying to play well here."

He might be three shots clear of the field, but he has some major star power looking to chase him down — many of whom will be his teammates at Bethpage.

Among them is Russell Henley, who, for a moment, appeared as if he'd run away with the tournament after starting 5 under through 9 holes Friday. He stumbled down the stretch, though, and ultimately signed for a 68 to enter the weekend at 11 under, in a tie for second with amateur Jackson Koivun.

Henley, who will also be a rookie at the Ryder Cup, is looking for his second win in 2025, the first of which came at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March. He's embracing the opportunity to get his game into shape ahead of Bethpage.

"I think it's good just to get the body moving and get that intense focus like the tournament gives you," Henley said. "It's tough to simulate that at home and get the type of focus you get at an actual event. Getting to work on the body before and after the round, the PT work and the practice, and yeah, all the time getting to hang with the guys is cool, too."

In the end, all ten members of the 12 U.S. Ryder Cup team members competing in Napa this week made the cut, which came in at 2 under.

Ben Griffin cards 66, leads by 3 at the Procore Championship

Ben Griffin turned in another impressively clean scorecard Friday at the Procore Championship, making six birdies en route to a bogey-free 6-under 66. As of 4:35 p.m. ET, Griffin holds the outright lead by three shots over Ryder Cup teammate Russell Henley, who sits in solo second at 11 under.

Scottie Scheffler, JJ Spaun, Russell Henley all sign for 68 in the second round

If there was ever an example of golfers "feeding off each other," this is it.

All the U.S. Ryder Cup team members played with each other in the opening two rounds of the Procore Championship, and one of the groups was comprised of Russell Henley, reigning U.S. Open champ J.J. Spaun and World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler.

All three of those men signed for 4-under 68 in Friday's second round.

Henley finished the day at 11 under for the tournament and sits in solo second place as of 3:25 p.m. ET. He started on the back nine and got off to a hot start with five birdies in the first nine holes but he cooled off down the stretch.

Spaun, meanwhile, has now played 36 straight bogey-free holes. He turned another clean scorecard with 14 pars and four birdies Friday.

Scheffler undoubtedly did not have his best stuff through the first two days of the Procore Championship but he's still tied for ninth as of 3:30 p.m. ET on Friday. Like Henley, Scheffler also started hot with a 32 on the outward nine, but he signed for 1-over 36 on his back nine to end the day at 6 under for the tournament.

Ben Griffin opens up a two-shot lead at the Procore Championship

The soon-to-be Ryder Cup rookie is on a roll. After signing for 8-under 64 Thursday, Ben Griffin has carried that momentum right into Friday, firing 33 on his opening nine and making another birdie to get to 5 under for the day and 13 under for the tournament, two shots clear of the field.

Russell Henley has cooled off with a pair of bogeys dropping him back to 11 under.

Ben Griffin ties the lead at the Procore Championship

Ben Griffin might have been on the "bubble" to be a Ryder Cup selection in a lot of people's minds, but he is showing up and showing out at the Procore Championship with just two weeks to go until Bethpage.

The soon-to-be Ryder Cup rookie made birdies at Nos. 17 and 18 to sign for 4-under 33 on his opening nine Friday to get to 12 under for the tournament, tying Russell Henley for the lead as of 1:30 p.m. ET.

Several U.S. Ryder Cup team members playing well at the Procore

It's a good sign for American fans as four of the top 5 at the Procore Championship early Friday afternoon were members of the U.S. Ryder Cup team.

Russell Henley is pacing the field as the solo leader. He started on No. 10 and fired a 5-under 32 on his first nine, making the turn at 12 under for the tournament, two shots clear of the field.

Right behind him in solo second as of 1 p.m. ET is none other than Ben Griffin — the two-time PGA Tour winner who will be making his first Ryder Cup appearance this year. Griffin signed for a blistering 64 on Thursday and is 2 under through 7 so far Friday.

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and U.S. Open Champ J.J. Spaun join Henley and Griffin in the top 5. Scheffler also fired a 5-under 32 on the back nine (his first nine) on Friday to get to 7 under for the tournament, tied with Spaun, who shot 67 on Thursday.

Russell Henley off to a fast start

It was a good morning for Russell Henley, who started the second round with birdies on four of his first six holes to leapfrog into the lead at 11 under as of 12:30 a.m. ET.
