This ordered the Interior Department, which manages parks, monuments, and other designated land, to take action to ensure properties within its jurisdiction do not contain descriptions that ‘inappropriately disparage Americans past or living.’
A few months ago, boxes started to appear at U.S. national parks for visitors to leave their suggestions and complaints over what should be changed. At first, the initiative backfired, with people leaving notes complaining about the executive order itself. However, throughout the months, things have changed, and the NPS has now received serious comments. Yet, these are not only asking to delete parts of history that
