There can be only one… way to start production on the new Highlander reboot : Henry Cavill has to be available. At the moment he is not. It turns out that even Immortals can get hurt. Cavill injured himself while training for the film, which now won’t start shooting until 2026.

Deadline first reported Cavill sustained an injury while prepping for director Chad Stahelski’s upcoming Highlander remake. While the nature of his injury is still unknown, it’s serious enough that shooting is likely not going to commence for a few months. The Hollywood Reporter says the movie had been ready to begin principal photography this month. Now filming is likely to begin at the start of 2026.
