An Aurora man has been charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon following a traffic stop on Tuesday, according to a news release from the Aurora Police Department.

On Tuesday at around 5:43 p.m., Aurora Police Special Operations Group investigators conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Silverado in the first block of South West Street on Aurora’s East Side, according to the news release, after police said they saw the driver of the vehicle commit a non-moving violation.

During the traffic stop, the officers saw a loaded drum-style magazine on the center console of the vehicle, and took the driver, Marcos A. Castro Garcia, 21, of Aurora, and a male passenger, 19, into custody, per the release.
