Second-year New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye sparked some concerns among fans when he still looked like a work in progress during the club's 20-13 Week 1 home loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.
While speaking with reporters on Thursday, Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels defended the 23-year-old who has made only 13 total regular-season starts as a pro.
