FREMONT — Nine people were injured in a school bus crash Thursday in Sandusky County, the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Fremont Post reported.

Northwood schools bus driver Jack A. Didion, 67, of Northwood, was driving north on County Road 32, the agency said. Mr. Didion failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by a Jeep Compass driven by Fostoria resident Amy R. Craun, 46, just before 7 p.m.

Ms. Craun was driving west on Country Road 41 in Scott Township, it said.

The bus held 26 passengers, the highway patrol reported.

Six students with minor injuries were taken to ProMedica Memorial Hospital in Fremont, the patrol said. One student with minor injuries was transported to ProMedica Bay Park Hospital in Oregon, and another student was taken to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center
