RCMP officers in Saskatchewan responded to a pair of serious crashes on Friday morning.

In the first case, RCMP officers from Saskatoon responded to a crash on Highway 219, about 10 kilometres south of the city, near Township Road 352.

The RCMP said the highway will remain closed for an undetermined amount of time, and detours have been set up to route drivers around the scene of the crash, though delays should be expected.

While few details of the crash were available, the RCMP noted that heavy fog in the area is having a big impact on visibility.
