The Colonial Road Runners Grand Prix series had a two-month summer break and races resumed with the Sept. 13 Hare and Tortoise 8K (a Grand Prix race) and a 5K (not GP).
Starting with the Hare and Tortoise races, there will be CRR Grand Prix races every Saturday through the first weekend of November, with the exception of next week.
The Elizabeth River Run 10K in Norfolk (start Old Dominion University) on Sept. 21, is a Tidewater Striders race, the premier 10K in all of Hampton Roads, and a major CRR age-graded team race. The CRR already has 53 entrants in that race. Most serious CRR racers have already entered.
Following the ERR 10K will be six straight CRR Grand Prix events, on Sept. 27 (Democracy Dash 10K at Jamestown Island), Oct. 4 (Run for the Hills 5K at New Town), Oct. 11 (Grove
