MADISON, Wis. — Two 19-year-olds suffered leg injuries after a car hit them on Madison’s southwest side Wednesday night, and one of the teens was taken to a hospital, according to Madison police.
Officers were dispatched shortly after 8 p.m. to the intersection of Gene Parks Place and Mike McKinney Court, where they found both victims with leg injuries. Police said the teens were standing along Gene Parks Place when a car struck them.
A 42-year-old woman was arrested at the scene on tentative charges of operating while intoxicated causing injury, operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration causing injury, unsafe backing, and driving without a valid license.
Madison police had not released updates on the victims’ conditions as of Friday morning.
