A federal appeals court in Boston yesterday stayed an order by a lower-court judge that ordered the regime to keep paying Medicaid claims from Planned Parenthood clinics across the country, including in Massachusetts.
The ruling by the First Circuit Court of Appeals means that while Planned Parenthood can continue its lawsuit against a provision in the Beautiful Tax Cuts for Billionaires law that ends all Medicaid payments to its clinics, the regime no longer has to pay Medicaid bills submitted by them. Even before the law, Planned Parenthood was not allowed to seek reimbursement for abortions, except in rare circumstances.
