The Toronto Blue Jays are heading into the final stretch of the season with some momentum after beating the Houston Astros on Thursday.

Now they have just five series ahead and have made a head-turning roster move as they prepare for the playoffs.

"After the finale against the Astros, Toronto optioned (Alek) Manoah to Triple-A Buffalo to continue his return progression," Mitch Bannon reported for The Athletic .
