FAIRFAX, Va. — Several lanes on the Inner Loop of the Capital Beltway will close for construction in Virginia this weekend. The closures start at 9 p.m. Friday and run through 9 a.m. Sunday. The impacted area will be between the Leesburg Pike and the George Washington Memorial Parkway. The closures are part of the 495 NEXT project to extend the I-495 express lanes north by 2.5 miles from the Dulles Corridor to the George Washington Memorial Parkway.
Drivers can expect heavy delays overnight and through the weekend in the area.

One lane closed at 9 p.m. on northbound I-495 from Leesburg Pike (Route 7) to north of George Washington Memorial Parkway.
10 p.m. three lanes closed on northbound I-495 from Leesburg Pike (Route 7)
