Orchard Park, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bills won’t have superstar defensive tackle Ed Oliver this Sunday against the New York Jets after the former first-round pick had his foot stepped on during Wednesday’s practice.

Oliver was seen in the Bills’ locker room in a walking boot on Thursday. He needed a rolling scooter to move around, and Bills coach Sean McDermott ruled him out for the game on his weekly appearance on WGR Sports Radio 550.

McDermott spoke to reporters before practice on Friday and said that it’s early in the process of evaluating Oliver’s injury. He said there’s a chance he can return to play next week against the Miami Dolphins.
