SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — On Friday afternoon, for the second time this week, the Scottsdale City Council will consider whether it wants to sue the state of Arizona.

This situation revolves around a bill lawmakers passed, paving the way for stun gun maker Axon to build a new, multi-billion-dollar headquarters near the Loop 101 and Hayden.

A key component of the Axon project: it would mean nearly 1,900 apartments coming to that area.

Councilwoman Kathy Littlefield said residents don’t want that. At City Hall on Tuesday, though, a majority of council members agreed to not vote on their legal plans.

Councilman Barry Graham said he was shocked after Mayor Lisa Borowsky made the motion.
