There was plenty of excitement tonight in Arlington as the Dallas Wings played their final regular-season game against the Phoenix Mercury. Their season is ending just as negotiations with the WNBA are heating up.

Players want a new collective bargaining agreement that would give them a larger share of league earnings, improved facilities, and revamped benefits, among other things. Labor activists gathered at the game on Thursday in solidarity with those demands.

The current CBA ends October 31ST. Negotiations so far have been unsuccessful, which means a lockout isn’t out of the question.
