Conservative activist Charlie Kirk was a key backer of Kentucky businessman Nate Morris when he launched his U.S. Senate campaign.
Kirk was killed in a high-profile shooting on Sept. 10 during a public event at Utah Valley University.
When Nate Morris made his first public appearance in June as a U.S. Senate candidate, Charlie Kirk was on stage next to him .
Kirk, 31, the Turning Point USA founder and conservative activist, was killed 72 days later , in a targeted shooting at Utah Valley University that sparked a national manhunt and an outpouring of grief from his supporters. But Morris said his spirit as an "iconic leader" will remain.
"We're going to win this thing for him," Morris said on Sept. 11, just over 24 hours after the shooting. "There's no question."
Morris is one of
