WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) - A pair of weekend events to commemorate September 11 will cause traffic delays Saturday in the City of Watertown.
Parking on Washington Street will be blocked off Friday and Saturday to get ready for the Thousand Islands Stair Climb set for tomorrow at the Dulles State Office Building.
There will be no parking permitted on the side of the road on Washington Street between Academy and Sterling Street.
City Department of Public Works crews will be erecting temporary signage and barricades.
American Legion Post 61 will also be hosting its annual Patriot Day ceremony, which will cause Sterling Street to be closed from 9 a.m. until noon.
Sterling Street will be closed between Washington Street and Goodale Street.
