(WHTM)-- Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, who was the target of what is believed to be a politically motivated attack earlier this year, spoke out about ending such attacks on ABC News Thursday night.
Governor Shapiro's statement on political attacks came as a response to the assassination of conservative influencer and activist Charlie Kirk, who was shot during a debate at a college campus in Utah on Wednesday.
"I think we need to be universal in condemning all political violence," said Shapiro. "I think that's a responsibility of all elected officials, Republicans and Democrats. We cannot allow any political violence to be viewed as acceptable."
