A driver is dead after a crash involving a southbound Brightline train in Brevard County on Friday.

The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle and died at the scene.

People in the area at the time described the loud noise from the crash.

"It sounded like a lightning bolt basically hit," Ken Sebree said.

The Brightline train had 188 occupants and was headed to Miami, officials said.
