RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - A local chef has found TikTok fame creating simple, easy to follow meals made straight from the heart. Now, he’s using that fame for good.

It’s a simple recipe. Take one part food, a dash of passion and stir in a lot of genuine kindness, and you get yourself an unlikely TikTok star.

Kevin Ashton- oldscoolkevmo as he’s known online- has been passionate about food his whole life.

“When I cook, when I get into the kitchen, it’s a feeling of being at home,“ he ”There’s no more stress. There’s just a familiarity. When I was young and most of my friends were outside playing with tonka toys or tonka trucks. I was inside playing with Tupperware."
