YAKIMA, Wash. – Water work by the City of Yakima will cause road closures on South 8th Street between Chestnut Avenue and Walnut Street on September 15 and 16.

Work on the project will last from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on both days.

The City of Yakima advised drivers to expect delays during construction and encouraged them to slow down and proceed cautiously through work zones.

Drivers can plan alternate routes for faster travel.

Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained as best as possible, wrote the city in their release about the closures.
