A memorial for prominent conservative activist Charlie Kirk has been erected at the Turning Point USA headquarters in Phoenix.

The front doors of the political influencers network's headquarters became a memorial for its co-founder, Kirk, who was killed on Wednesday.

Hundreds of mourners have been gathering to pay their respects, filled with heartbreak over his death.

Many showed their support and praised his role as an influential voice for young conservatives.

A 22-year-old Utah man has been arrested in the killing of Kirk during an event on a college campus.

“We got him,” Gov. Spencer Cox told reporters at a news conference Friday announcing the arrest of Tyler Robinson in Wednesday’s killing of Kirk at Utah Valley University.

Authorities say Robinson was taken into custody Thursday night.

Officials say Kirk's shooting Wednesday during an outdoor event at Utah Valley University was a targeted attack.

Cox says Robinson apparently confessed to a family friend, and that Robinson’s family said he had become “more political in recent years” and had criticized the Turning Point USA CEO, saying “Kirk was full of hate and spreading hate.”
