Deputy Passes Away

𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐲 𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐜𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧 “𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐲” 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐈𝐈 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Retired Deputy Lester McClain “Mickey” Berry II on September 11, 2025. Deputy Berry faithfully served the citizens of Catawba County as a member of the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office from 1982 until 2003. During his more than two decades of service, Deputy Berry dedicated himself to protecting and serving our community with integrity and professionalism. We ask that you please join us in remembering Deputy Berry, honoring his commitment to law enforcement, and keeping his family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
