OSKALOOSA, Iowa — An art teacher in Iowa is on leave following a controversial social media post about the death of activist Charlie Kirk.
Oskaloosa School Superintendent Mike Fisher said the issue began on Wednesday afternoon when high school art teacher Matt Kargol posted on social media.
Kargol responded to Kirk's death with the comment "one nazi down." The post has upset many parents and residents in the community.
Fisher stated that Kargol is on leave due to a violation of the school's social media policy. The school board is scheduled to meet next Wednesday to discuss next steps.
