BLOOMINGTON — Ohio State president Ted Carter sent a small tremor across his conference this week, when during an interview with USA TODAY he suggested the Big Ten’s long-standing equal revenue-sharing model might need reexamining in the near future.
Carter did not draw any lines in the sand but did say — as the league’s media rights deal winds toward its 2030 conclusion — that during negotiations over the next deal, the idea of changing the Big Ten’s distribution model is “a conversation that will be had over time.”
