Former Miami Northwestern High School football coach Teddy Bridgewater has been suspended for the rest of the 2025-26 school year for providing impermissible benefits.

The Florida High School Athletic Association announced the suspension on Sept. 12. Northwestern handed down the suspension, which was approved by the FHSAA.

Northwestern, which won the Class 3A state championship in 2024, was assessed a reprimand by the FHSAA and a $2,500 penalty, $2,250 of which will be returned to the school if no other violations.
