A poll of 2,000 adults found 45 per cent appreciate fresh sheets on the bed and 36 per cent love nothing more than getting a parcel delivered earlier than expected.

The joy of finding matching socks in the dryer, the satisfaction of discovering the last ice cream hidden at the back of the freezer, and the relief when someone actually replaces the toilet roll - these are among the top 20 'home wins' according to a recent poll. ‌

Surveying 2,000 adults, the study found that 45 per cent savour the feeling of fresh sheets on the bed, while 36 per cent relish an early parcel delivery. ‌

A quarter of respondents (26 per cent) delight in reaching 'washing basket zero', with no laundry left to clean, and 24 per cent find pleasure in stumbling upon their favourite film just starting on TV.
