A successful Catch the Ace fundraiser continues to pay dividends for the Royal Canadian Legion branch in Sarnia.
The most recent 36-week run of the progressive jackpot lottery raised $2.1 million, said Branch 62 vice-president Ron Realesmith.

“We have a max capacity of 700 and we have to have a line.”
The lottery starts with 52 envelopes, each with a card from a full playing deck inside, and raffle tickets are sold and drawn weekly.
The winning raffle ticket holder selects one envelope, trying to find the ace of spades.
“Technically the event can go 52 weeks if you went down to the very last,” Realesmith said.
