YORK COUNTY, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A boil water advisory is now in effect for parts of western York County after E. coli bacteria was found in a routine water sample, officials said.
Only one out of 30 samples taken this month tested positive, but York County officials said they’re acting out of an abundance of caution.
The advisory affects much of the Lake Wylie area and stretches toward Rock Hill. To see if your street is included, check the Western Water Advisory Map
