Anthony Albanese was left embarrassed after he turned up to a crucial meeting with Pacific leaders wearing a pink shirt, while everyone else was wearing the summit’s official blue shirt.

The Prime Minister looked awkward as he sat down while wearing in the wrong shirt at the meeting of the Pacific Island Forum leaders in the Solomon Islands on Thursday night.

Video of the forum showed him looking awkward in his pink shirt surrounded by other leaders at the forum wearing the same blue shirt. Shortly after, he left the room to change into the right shirt.

The embarrassing incident happened before the PIF countries endorsed the “Ocean of Peace” declaration, while he fended off suggestions Australia is in a “permanent state of contest” with China in the Pacific.
