A frantic search continues for a Glasgow busker missing for almost six weeks as police deploy “every possible resource”.

Lewis Cuthbert, 25, has not been seen since Monday, August 4. The musician, from Strathaven, was last seen in the Lesmahagow Road area of the town at around 4pm.

He is known to busk in Glasgow city centre. Police said they are carrying out “extensive enquiries” in Glasgow and in Edinburgh, where Lewis is also known to perform, with a dedicated team of officers searching for the missing man.

Police have deployed specialist search teams, drones from the air support unit, as well as officers searching on quad bikes and using dogs. CCTV footage has been reviewed, and over 100 homes in the Strathaven area have been visited as part of door-to-door enquiries.
