Ali Farokhmanesh’s first recruiting class as the head coach of the Colorado State men’s basketball team is quickly coming together.
Two more prep standouts recently committed to CSU, bringing to three the total number of commits for the Rams’ 2026 recruiting class.
On Sunday, Gregory “Pops” Dunson, a 6-foot guard from Alexander High School in Douglasville, Ga., announced his commitment to Farokhmanesh and the Rams on X.
A three-star recruit according to 247Sports, Dunson averaged 18 points, 4.9 assists, 3.2 rebounds and a steal per game as a junior last season. In the Georgia state tournament, those numbers rose to 31.3 points and six assists per game.
Dunson also had reported offers from Auburn, Texas State, Tulane, Saint Louis, Tulsa, San Francisco and Duquesne, among others.
