HAUGHTON, La. (KSLA) - A 21-year-old Haughton man has been arrested after he allegedly threatened to “shoot up the school” at a campus on the grounds of Camp Minden on Thursday, September 12.

Webster Parish Sheriff Jason Parker said Austin Rae Stone is being held at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center facing a charge of terrorizing. He reportedly is being held on a $15,000 bond.

Deputies Sgt. Damian Christian and Lt. Coby Barton were dispatched to the scene where Camp Minden authorities handed over 950 rounds of .22 caliber ammunition reportedly taken from Stone’s vehicle.

No additional ammunition nor a firearm was located during a further vehicle search.

Deputies and Camp Minden security officers did a search of the school building but found no firearm.
