A teacher is facing charges for allegedly sharing explicit images with a 14-year-old former student through social media.

According to the Fayette County District Attorney, an investigation was launched after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reportedly identified adult conversations and explicit images shared between Mongell, 30, and the child.

“We found alleged communications through cellphone, through Snapchat, through Instagram, and it appears that some inappropriate images were exchanged between the two,” said Fayette County District Attorney Mike Aubele.
