ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (WITN) - Police are investigating after they say there was a report of gunfire near shortly after children were let off a school bus.

Elizabeth City police say just before 5 p.m. yesterday, they were called to the area of Factory and Fleetwood Street. They found several shell casings and a home hit by the gunfire.

Police say no one was injured, but children were just dropped off the school bus nearby around the same time.
