SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) -- Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) will postpone bringing outside speakers to their campuses through the end of Sept., according to an email sent to faculty on Friday. The decision comes in the wake of the assassination of conservative political activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.
"This step gives us time to carefully review our safety practices for events of this kind," SLCC officials said. "This action does not apply to any guest lecturers who are presenting to students in a classroom setting."
