HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) - Gov. Andy Beshear provided an update on Thursday, sharing that almost 100,000 rental units are being built in Western Kentucky.
The developer closed on properties in Mayfield, Dawson Springs, and Bowling Green.
This comes after the deadly December 2021 tornado that demolished several communities.
According to officials, 48 rental units will be built at the new Marketplace Commons in Dawson Springs.
Gov. Beshear said construction is set to start within the next month.
