COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Hundreds of people gathered at Texas A&M University on the evening of Thursday, Sept. 12 for a candlelight vigil in memory of Charlie Kirk.
The 31-year-old conservative political activist and media personality was shot and killed while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday, Sept. 10.
The event was organized by the Texas A&M chapter of Turning Point USA, a national organization that Kirk co-founded.
People from both ends of the political spectrum spoke at the vigil, paying respects to Kirk, offering condolences to his family and denouncing political violence.
